Wallace “Wally” Rose ’50 played basketball and golf and ran on the track team during his Transylvania career, lettering in all three sports. He led the basketball team in scoring four times and was named to the All-Conference team. He was selected male Pioneer Athlete of the Year in 1949. Rose also served as the official clock operator for the Transy basketball teams for over three decades.
